What I Do for Cleaning Businesses

Everything below is built for one kind of company: residential and commercial cleaning businesses. Each service has its own page that goes deep on the how, so this one stays short. Think of it as the map.

Monthly bookkeeping

The core service. Transactions recorded and categorized, every account reconciled so the books and the bank agree, and monthly reports that arrive explained, split by residential and commercial and sliceable per contract. The full picture of how this works for a cleaning company is here:

Clean up and catch up

For books that are months or years behind. I review everything back to the last trustworthy point, fix what's miscategorized, reconcile forward to today, and rebuild the structure where it needs it. What a rescue involves:

Receipt and job expense management

A capture system for crew purchases, supplies, and mileage that survives real cleaning-company life, phone photos in, receipts matched to the bank feed, every cost tagged to its job. The system in detail:

Invoicing and accounts receivable

Recurring invoices that match your contracts, an aging report you can trust, and follow-up on slow payers handled by a process instead of your evenings. Built for net-60 commercial accounts

Bills and payables

Supply vendors, equipment leases, the van payments, tracked and scheduled so nothing important bounces and nothing gets paid twice.

QuickBooks setup and training

A file built right for a cleaning company from day one, or rebuilt after the DIY version drifts, and then I teach you to run it. I'm a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, and this is honestly my favorite part of the job. How a proper setup works:

How an engagement works

The process is the same one that's always been on this page, just said the way I'd actually say it. We start with a short call about your business and where the books stand. I take a look at what you've got, your QuickBooks file, your spreadsheet, whatever exists. You get a written proposal with the price, so the decision is yours with the number in hand. If it's a go, I handle the setup and onboarding. And then we settle into the monthly rhythm, which is kind of the whole point, books that are just handled.

Ready when you are: reach out here and tell me about your company. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
